THURSDAY QUOTABLES is a weekly book meme hosted by the lovely Book Shelf Fantasies
This weekly feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just beautifully written, THURSDAY QUOTABLES is where my favourite lines of the week will be…and you’re invited to join in.
Head over to Book Shelf Fantasies for further info on how to join in!
BEAUTIFUL REDEMPTION BY KAMI GARCIA & MARGARET STOHL (OCTOBER 2012, LITTLE BROWN)
“When you’re alive, you don’t dwell on how you’re going to spend your time once you’re dead. You just figure you’re gone, and the rest will pretty much take care of itself.
Or you think you’re not really going to die. You’re going to be the first person in the history of the world who doesn’t have to. Maybe that’s some kind of lie our brains tell us to keep us from going crazy while we’re alive.”
This is one of those series that I thoroughly enjoyed – but you didn’t hear too much about it! There was plenty of hype around the movie and how it would attract the TWILIGHT scene…but it never materialised that way.
Until next week, keep reading on!
