I would like to say that it is truly my pleasure to be invited onto this blog tour! Particular thanks to Rachel @ Rachel’s Random Resources and J.F. Kirwan who gifted me an early copy of 66 METRES (Nadia Laksheva Spy Thriller #1). I am forever grateful and promise that the review below is 100% honest and of my own views

To kick off, we have the “blurb” for the book;

The only thing worth killing for is family.

Everyone said she had her father’s eyes. A killer’s eyes. Nadia knew that on the bitterly cold streets of Moscow, she could never escape her past – but in just a few days, she would finally be free.

Bound to work for Kadinsky for five years, she has just one last mission to complete. Yet when she is instructed to capture The Rose, a military weapon shrouded in secrecy, Nadia finds herself trapped in a deadly game of global espionage.

And the only man she can trust is the one sent to spy on her…

So, want to know what I thought?

It’s not often that I get stuck into a good spy thriller, but after reading the blurb for 66 METRES, I was excited to get stuck in!

One of the main things I enjoyed about this boko was Nadia. Nadia gives me all of my Angelina Jolie in SALT fantasy and then some! She’s a tough cookie who is prepared to do whatever it takes to help those she loves, which considering her complicated family history, makes you wonder why she hasn’t disappeared.

Kirwan has been able to create the most intense characters, done with such finesse that we become invested in each one. We are right there with Nadia through everything she faces. We distrust and feel strongly about the people she interacts with. Mix that with a fast pace, one enough to give you whiplash and you are in for a rollercoaster of a read.

After the end of 66 METRES, I am keen beans to get stuck into the next book in the series! This is certainly one of the most enjoyable spy thrillers I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
