Sydney is living in an idyllic bubble—she’s a dedicated student with a steady job on the side. She lives with her best friend, has a great boyfriend, and the music coming from the balcony opposite hers is fast becoming the soundtrack to her life. But when Sydney finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, the bubble bursts. The mysterious and attractive man behind the music, Ridge, gives Sydney hope that she can move on and they begin to write songs together. But moving on is harder than she expects, Sydney can only hope….
Colleen Hoover can do no wrong in my eyes so I knew I would love Maybe Someday from the second I picked it up. What I wasn’t expecting was for it to become my very favourite Colleen Hoover book so when I decided a re read was in order I was a little concerned I wouldn’t love it as much. However I loved it just as much.
I highly recommend you read this book at the same time as listening to the Griffin Peterson album because it adds to the experience and takes it from amazing to magical.
A book about a love triangle made me a little nervous but Colleen writes about it so well that you forget it’s a love triangle. The characters are so lovable, I just wanted to pick them up and put them in my pocket. This was the first book I read where the main character was deaf and it made me very intrigued and interested in learning more about sign language.
As well as this we also have a character with a serious illness which adds to an already emotional book. It makes a change to have characters completely stunning and perfect. (Although to me these people will always be perfect!)
If your looking for a roller-coaster then take a ride on Maybe Someday, I can guarantee you won’t want to get off.
