Thank you very much to Heather at L Woods PR and V F Mason for providing a copy of the book to [K]
The review below is 100% honest and all of her own views.
Once upon a time a sinner, a priest and a madman played a dangerous game…
She is a sinner.
He is a serial killer.
She demanded vengeance.
He demanded her.
She vowed to avenge.
He vowed to destroy.
She created a web of lies.
He wore a mask of deceit.
She wanted to escape.
He captured her instead.
There are no rules in this twisted game of theirs.
But there is a winner who claims the sinner.
Wow, what a story! I think I need a sit down to process…
This is my first read of V F Mason’s work, but will definitely not be the last.
For starters I need to find out what happens in part 2 of the series!
Told from several points of view, this book was well paced and very cleverly written. Just as I thought I’d worked out how the story was going to pan out there was another twist, an unexpected event and my theories were disproved.
Early on I found I was really invested in one of the main characters, fierce Cassandra whilst she went about her daily business, interacting with other town members and trying to set up a dance studio in a new town. I felt the highs and lows, loved, cringed and cried with her.
This is a dark romance which may not suit everyone and definitely not for the faint of heart, this book grabs you by the hair and refuses to let you go until you have read right until the end.
