The review below is 100% honest and all of her own views.
I have nowhere left to run…
I’ll never love another the way I loved him. He might have been a prince, but to me he was just Erik. The father of my child. The man whose love was so fierce, it’s like it never left me.
Some days I swear I can still feel his presence surrounding me, until I’m reminded that our love song is over.
Moving on is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
Hollow without him, the music that’s been pouring out of my soul is the only way to ease the ache.
It will never replace the love of my life, but for my baby’s sake, I have to try.
Every tragic lyric, every minor chord, proves that I can’t outrun his ghost or the truth… my heart beats only for him.
OMG I have just finished this book and cannot believe its finished there and I now have to wait for book 3 to be released before I can find out what happens next!
As we got to know all the characters in book 1, book 2 is just heart wrenching. The story follows Casey as she tries to make a life for herself and her child, despite grieving for the future she should have had with Prince Erik if circumstances hadn’t forced their hands. The music she now writes reflects her grief and loss which in turn makes her a more popular musician than ever.
I was immersed in the book and had tears in my eyes for majority if not all of this book. I felt with this book I was on the sidelines looking in, or reading a friends memoirs, not a reader reading a fictional story.
Book 2 has cemented my love for this series, so cannot wait to see what the final book in this trilogy brings. I really cannot wait to see what happens next.
