Thank you very much to Faye @ Authoright and Lucas Ehrenhaus for providing a copy of the book to [K]
The review below is 100% honest and all of her own views.
After one of the most decisive warring campaigns in European history between Barbarians and Rome, the sheer possibility of a full-scale Roman invasion into Barbarian lands launches a lifelong recruitment process, which drives to the re-discovery of old mighty forces in the long forgotten North.
The most apolocalyptic pan-tribal conflict amongst central and northern European natives will ensue.
This was a well researched book that gave a plausible explanation of the origins of the Scandinavian mythology. I love all history and mythology so this was a must read for me.
The characters relation to each other was clear, despite there being alot of people in this book.
The book itself was well set out and had some lovely colour illustrations of the symbols that were used at the time which were a joy to discover.
Reading this book gave me a better understanding of the mythology and its possible origins. I felt there was enough information given without it being overwhelming. I will definitely be looking out for more of Lucas’ books in the future.
