Review:

Dani has decided to put the job in politics behind her and start a new job (whatever that may be) after finally deciding she has had enough of the lifestyle.

Nash is trying to find himself after a mission went wrong that meant he lost his team and his temper has put him under review.

Right from the very beginning I was hooked by this book, the story was written well so the reader was not left hanging around with little action. I loved Nash and Dani’s characters, neither are shrinking violets and have strong personalities.

The idea of including a Spotify playlist to read with the chapters in the book is brilliant and I cannot stop listening to the songs and be transported back to certain areas of the story.

Whilst I have never read any of L J Evan’s books previously I will now be reading her other books so I can fall in to the wonderful world she creates again and again. I cannot wait for the next in this series to be released so I can see what happens next!

Award winning author, LJ Evans, lives in the California Central Valley with her husband, daughter, and the terrors called cats. She’s been writing, almost as a compulsion, since she was a little girl and will often pull the car over to write when a song lyric strikes her. A former first grade teacher, she now spends her days reading and writing, as well as binge-watching original shows like The Crown, The Great, Veronica Mars, and Stranger Things.
