Biggest Disappointment of 2016
MAESTRA by L.S Hinton

Such a shame. This book was highly publicised and marketed as ‘the thriller of the year’ and how this was that risqué it made the Fifty Shades series look tame. Take the sex element out of this book and there is a good plot there, it was just poorly executed and no amount of the c-bomb made up for the poor content.
There is a second helping on the horizon with ‘DOMINA’ (March 2017, Zaffre) which is a continuation of MAESTRA. Not holding much faith…
