#WrapUp | April 2018

WOWSERS! How on earth are we now in May?!?! Where the chuff has this year gone? I’m not complaining too much though – it’s my birthday in just over a month!

April has been a pretty busy month for books. Not only have I read ELEVEN books this month, but I have also attended my second author signing for the year.

THREE, TWO, ONE (321) by J.A. Huss (Audiobook)
A rather filthy tale of two men and one woman who find themselves loving each other.
Rather dark undertones throughout and an ending I did NOT see coming!

WITH THIS MAN (This Man #4) by Jodi Ellen Malpas
The fourth book in the THIS MAN series. Jesse has to help Ava fall in love with him and their children all over again when an accident causes her to lose the last sixteen years of her memory after a horror accident.

PUCKED (Pucked #1) by Helena Hunting (Audiobook)
A hilarious Hockey romance featuring sports accountant Violet and NHL ladies man Alex. I’ve never laughed so hard at a romance novel – in the best possible way!

RECOVERED by Jay Crownover
This standalone romance novel touches on some pretty dark subject matters. A story of how two people from different walks of life can help each other become better versions of themselves.

THE HOUSE by Simon Lelic
Debut novel from Simon Lelic – THE HOUSE gives me all the jeebies you would expect from a Stephen King novel, while using a unique style of writing which kept me hooked from the first chapter!

My first novel from L.J. Shen and I fell head over heels in love with this book! UK rocker bad boy Alex is about to embark on his world tour. The excitement is dampened when Indie is hired to be Alex’s sober companion. This book is hot!

FEAR YOU (Broken Love #2) by B.B. Reid
The second book in the Broken Love series, takes places right after events in FEAR ME. We delve more into the history of Keiran and Keenan – a very dark past which is causing a big impact in the present day. Lots of action, drama and of course the other stuff 😉

THE TRAP (The Butlers #1) by Kimberley Chambers
On my mission to read as much UK gangland crime fiction as possible, THE TRAP was always going to be on this list! An introduction to the Butler family, who headed up by Aidan is as crazy as Freddie Jackson and there is plenty of drama thrown in.

HERO (Morgan Brothers #3) by Lauren Rowe (Audiobook)
Technically the third book in the series, but serves as the first book in terms of introduction of characters, HERO grabbed me from the first chapter on how age doesn’t matter when it comes to finding new love. Colby is *swoon*

After watching LEGEND with Tom Hardy – I was keen to read more about the Kray Twins and this book gave me everything I needed and then more. A cracking insight into the UK’s most infamous brothers.

BETRAYAL by Martina Cole
A ruthless story of one man’s quest for power. Short, snappy chapters makes for a fast paced, action packed book which keeps you glued to the edge of your seat.

Have you read any of the books on my wrap up? What are your thoughts?

I would love to know in the comments.

Happy reading!!
